Virginia creeper is a deciduous, climbing vine with alternate leaves that turn a brillant scarlet in fall. The vines climb by attaching rootlike holdfasts to any available means of support. Boston ivy and virginia creeper are widely used in landscape planting. Fruits are small blue berries which are attractive to birds.
